Our Inspections

While it’s obvious that air is essential to life, have you ever stopped to consider the quality of the air in your home? Many people suffer from coughing, sore throat, itchy eyes, shortness of breath, chest tightness, or other related symptoms – not because of a serious medical condition, but simply because of poor indoor air quality. Poor indoor air can be fairly easily identified by air that doesn’t move and is stale or stuffy. But what can you do to improve the quality of the air in your home?

The first step is identifying the cause of the poor air quality. Common contributors to poor indoor air are a dirty or malfunctioning air conditioner, heavy smoking, consistent use of chemicals, poorly ventilated heating or cooking appliances, pet dander, dust mites, and mold. Once you identify the source of the problem, do what you can to correct it. In the meantime, you can try air purifiers or simply opening the doors and windows to get a fresh batch of clean air from outside.
